The swimming area at the popular state park is closed due to issues with water quality, the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection announced.
The department said it would resample the water quality Friday. Results from the test will come in on Saturday, the department said.
Squantz Park is a popular summer beach and frequently is forced to close on summer weekends when the parking lot fills up.
